The lives of 27 schoolgirls and four adults were saved by one major factor in the Bacchus Marsh bus crash that saw a B-double truck collide with a school bus carrying the students.
Students and four staff from Loreto College, Ballarat, were travelling along Victoria s Western Highway when a truck smashed into them. The bus driver was hailed as a hero for helping them.
