The Penn State community is invited to join a conversation with Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi to discuss the future of energy and international relations. Al-Kaabi, a 1991 Penn State alumnus who earned a bachelor of science degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, also is the president and CEO of QatarEnergy. Each year, Aramco’s highly selective program sponsors more than 160 Saudi Arabian students to study science and engineering at Penn State. Penn State rose in the recently released 2023 QS World University Rankings to 93rd in the world, and came in ninth among all public U.S. universities, even as the number of institutions ranked increased 9% in size over the past year to include more than 1,400 of the world’s leading universities. ....
