Panic was spread around the IT corridor of Gachibowli after the leopard rumour went around on December 12 evening. A security guard sent across a message to the forest department officials, including the Chilkur range officer and a section officer alongside anti-poaching staff. They checked the region and set up trap cameras. A proper search of the area did not show any sign of pug marks, leopard scat or any other hint to prove that the animal was moving around in the place. ....

However, the forest officials who visited the spot and inspected the surroundings and also set up trap cameras did not find any clues on a big cat roaming the area. The trap cameras recorded dogs and monkeys around the area in front of Biodiversity Park and it is suspected that a dog could have been mistaken for a leopard. ....
Leopard Enters Roda Mistry College Campus In Gachibowli Dec 13, 2020, 16:06 IST HYDERABAD: Pug marks of a leopard found in the busy area close to the IT corridor, created a flutter in the city on Saturday. As per reports panic gripped among people after a leopard attacked a dog in the Roda Mistry College of Social Work premises in Gachibowli which is close to the Nehru Outer Ring Road entrance. As per sources, the leopard entered the premises, attacked a dog, and dragged it into the nearby hills. A sweeper named Kalavathi working in the college saw the leopard dragging the dog and she immediately ran inside for safety. She informed the College Secretary B S Raju about it. ....

However, on Sunday when the images caught by camera traps laid by the forest department were examined, they showed the presence of just stray dogs and monkeys.
