More than half of the students in Baltimore County Public Schools, many of them socioeconomically disadvantaged, showed “notably lower” rates of achieving reading and math benchmarks than their peers in the district, and some student groups experienced disproportionate suspension rates, according to the system’s 2021-22 Equity Metrics Report.
Face coverings will be optional in buildings once Baltimore County has recorded 14 consecutive days of case rates in the “moderate or low” transmission levels.
