The top Bongo musician is also reported to have left Rockstar Africa, a record label and talent management company founded by Christine Mosha, who is the current Head of Marketing and Artist Development for the East Africa at Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
King Kiba started his music career in the early 2000’s but became regionally popular in 2008 following the release of his hit song ‘Cinderella’ which became a mega hit in East Africa.
Other hit songs under his belt include ‘Macmuga’, ‘Mapenzi Yana Run Dunia’, ‘Nakshi Mrembo’, ‘Aje’ , ‘Chekecha Cheketua’ among others.
Alikiba currently runs his own record label titled Kings Music.

Sony Music Entertainment Africa has appointed Christine Mosha, aka ‘Seven’, to lead Marketing and Artist Development for the East Africa region. Effective immediately, the appointment will see Mosha build out the company’s roster of local talent and amplify its international presence and existing catalogue across the region from her base in Tanzania. She will directly report to Sean Watson, Managing Director, Sony Music Africa.
The 41 year old boasts of 15 years of African entertainment industry experience within which she has worked closely with Sony Music Africa.

In his expanded role, the London-based Bebawi will be tasked with overseeing the publisher’s worldwide digital licensing strategies and managing the Sony/ATV digital team. He will also be responsible with developing and maintaining positive relationships with digital service partners worldwide.
During his time at Sony/ATV, Bebawi has led key digital initiatives and led the negotiation of deals with the major digital services. He has additionally focused on streamlining digital royalty processing to improve accuracy and transparency in the evolving streaming landscape.
