ROCKLAND – Rockland, Rockport, and Camden fire departments recently worked together on a home safety program. If the fire departments can team up, why not municipalities?
Select Board members from surrounding towns recently attended a Rockland Zoom meeting, Feb. 23, regarding a now-defunct Summit Gas application. One unintentional result of the meeting was a sensation of multi-municipality cooperation that Rockland now aims to continue with other regional issues.
“We don’t live in a silo, as they say,” said Mayor Ed Glaser, during the March 9 Council meeting. “We are a part of a community of other towns that are around us.” ....
