FULTON, Wis. — A man and woman, who Rock County Sheriff Curtis Fell said were married, were found dead in a home in the Town of Fulton Wednesday morning.
A tornado, or even a tornado warning, had not occurred in Wisconsin in February since at least 1950, when the weather service started keeping records on them.
Investigators are assessing the strength of the Evansville area tornado that had winds of 135 mph and was throwing debris east of Evansville 10,000 to 15,000 feet into the air.
