Beach holidays have long been a Northern Irish tradition how readily the country flees the chilly conditions for golden sands, sun loungers and the obligatory bucket and spade. But I have a confession: despite many summers spent building sandcastles or spying on crabs scuttling along the shoreline, now, beach holidays leave me feeling idle.
