This is our 11th childrens congress, and it is always a privilege to work with jdrf families whose commitment to promoting lifechanging research to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure type i diabetes inspires me. I want to welcome not only our Ranking Members, senator casey and senator scott from florida, but also we have a special guest , and that is the cochair with me of the Senate Diabetes Caucus, senator Jeanne Shaheen of new hampshire.
