10-mile run an annual tradition that has become so much more than just a race. saturday night, i m walter perez. the big stories is 36th annual blue cross broad street run. from the fernrock section down to south philadelphia a runners will have a chance to test endurance. action news reporter jeff chirico is live from center city with the detaste, jeff. reporter: walter, a lot of excitement building here in the city for this annual tradition, the runners will come right down this road, and, right here past broad street and around city hall and then hit south philadelphia. if you are planning to come in and out of the city tomorrow organizers ask to you please be prepared, and aware of the road closures and transit the detours. in just hours, broad street traffic will switch from wheels, to heels, up to 40,000 runners are expected to race, shutting down, 10 miles of the major roadway. a lot of complaints a lot of complaints of heavy traffic. that is for sure. reporter
