Robert L. “Bobby” George, 82, of Montoursville, passed away on Christmas day, Dec. 25, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
He was married to his loving wife, the former Barbara Womelsdorf on Aug. 20, 1960.
Bobby was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Williamsport.
He was a member of the first Little League team in Montoursville. During high school, Bobby played football and basketball. He graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1957. He then went on to graduate from West Chester State College receiving his bachelor’s degree and received his master’s degree from Cortland, NY.
Bobby was a Montoursville High School Health and Physical Education and Drivers Ed teacher for 40 years “minus 5”. He coached Montoursville High School Football in the sixties and seventies, and he started the first track and field team “Oh my”. ....
