YAKIMA, WA - The Deputy State Fire Marshal, Robert Wittenberg said people Can only buy between noon and 11 p.m. However, discharge is only allowed between 6 p.m. New Year s Eve and 1 a.m. the next morning. Those are the only times you can discharge throughout the state.
Wittenberg says safety should be a priority.  You got to make sure they are placed in a safe level surface, free and clear from any flammable objects in the area nearby.
The next step is a bucket of water.
When the fireworks have been discharged or even the duds you probably want to put those in some water so they can soak overnight so that they don t happen to re-light or create other fire concerns. ....

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Oakland County’s top elected officials were sworn-in Thursday for the next four years in Oakland County Circuit Court by Chief Judge Shalina D. Kumar.
Incumbents County Executive Dave Coulter, Clerk/Register of Deeds Lisa Brown, Sheriff Michael Bouchard and Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash were each administered their oath of office during a brief ceremony.
Newly elected Prosecutor Karen McDonald was present for the event, but a separate ceremony was held for her the same day. ....

LANSING On Dec. 3, two bills were introduced in the House that, if passed, would revive a taxpayer-funded film income-tax credit for films produced bearing a “Filmed in Michigan logo.” The Center Square reported the bills on Dec. 8.
The bills, HBs 6504 and 6506, were introduced by Democrat Rep. Robert Wittenberg, 27th House District, which includes Berkley, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge and Royal Oak Township. ....
