Ripped through this apartment complex, some of these homes have been completely destroyed. So were still trying to get information about the exact number of units displaced so people here are just in shock of what happened this morning. Take a listen. Unfortunately word trickling down through this night in it community a neighborhood institution was the vick of this fatal fire. His name has got officially been released but neighbors here know who he is. An elderly man we are told the body of that man was found in his cluttered basement less than an hour ago. Heard the loud boom. Reporter neighbors on jackson street in Darby Township heard the explosion just after 7 00 oclock and quickly learned which house on the block was burning. She just said, mommy, mommy theres a fire. I went outside and she said mommy its mr. Dukes house. He watched me while i agreed up. He was just like my god dad. Reporter firefighters arrived to the home engulfed in flames. Its believed gas was at least partially responsible for the fire. So bad at one point 10 homes we
