Scared of retaliations. Deputies telling us these kids are in local gangs committing crimes for adults. Theyre behind anarmed burglary targeting owners with guns. They know okay, i will be out of pocket for 21 days and i will be back right at it. Talking to the parents. They need to talk to thehead person. Neighbors claiming parents for poorly raising the children. Deputies say kids with no respect withparents have even less respect for officers which is why theyre trying to educate children at a younger age and encourage people to report anonymously. The butte fire in amador and calaveras counties has grown to 1200 acres and left thousands without power. No structures have burned so far but some evacuations are in place. Power was knocked out when the fire started yesterday and is not expected to be restored until tonight. The fire currently is 30 contained. This weeks miserable heat is prompting shorter school days though on some campuses in the silicon valley. School let out at lunchtime yesterday for a number of kids in the campbellunion high school district. The plan is to do the same again today with very high temperatures forecast once again. A number of classrooms in the district dont have air conditioning. Its hotter in the room than it is outside. It gets, like, a lot hotter, like, i dont think people understand how, like, how big of a difference it can be. And youre sitting there and youre j
