April 29, 2021 Iowa Falls, Ia (AP) Authorities say a 21-year-old Ellsworth Community College student drowned in the Iowa River. Iowa Falls Police Chief Wade Harken said Wednesday the body of Robert Givens Jr. was found late Tuesday after more than three hours of searching. He says the death is being investigated as an accidental drowning. Police went to the river Tuesday evening after receiving a call about a man being in distress after he jumped in the river. Givens was a freshman at the community college and a member of the school’s wrestling team. Local Weather ....

Twenty-one-year-old Robert Givens was found dead after reportedly jumped into the river on Tuesday night. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Falls Police Department were called to the scene shortly before 6:30 p.m. A search and rescue mission team discovered his body around 10 p.m. Givens was a student at Ellsworth Community College where he was also a member of the school’s wrestling team. ....
