FALLBROOK
Sheriff’s investigators on Wednesday released the name of a 56-year-old man killed and found buried on a Fallbrook property two weeks ago.
Deputies discovered the body of Robert Berry Pierce, also known as Bobby Berry Pierce, while investigating “a suspicious circumstance” July 14. Authorities have been tight-lipped about the case and have not said how he died.
Nicholas Andrew Burg, 29, who lives on the South Ridge Drive property where Pierce was found, was charged in Vista Superior Court with murder and two auto theft-related counts. He pleaded not guilty last week.
A complaint alleges Pierce was killed July 12 or 13.
