A&E at Cheltenham General Hospital to reopen after Covid | Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard


CHELTENHAM General Hospital’s A&E department is to reopen in two stages.
On Wednesday, June 9, the consultant-led emergency department will re-open seven days a week between 8am and 8pm.
However, the unit will remain closed overnight until Wednesday, June 30, when the overnight nurse-led service re-opens at 8pm,
This means that from July 1, services will be returned to pre-pandemic levels.
On Wednesday, a number of other services will be restored including medical admissions to Cheltenham.
An Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: The temporary changes to A&E at Cheltenham were introduced last summer as part of the hospital s response to the pandemic which enabled the trust to continue life-saving cancer surgery amongst other vital services. ....
