Marion Star sports reporter Rob McCurdy was recognized for his excellent work in 2020 by the Ohio APME.
The organization this week released its award winners for 2020, and McCurdy dominated his division s sports offerings.
McCurdy was named the best sports columnist, best sports writer and was credited for putting together the best daily sports section at the Star.
Of his columns, judges wrote, Rob McCurdy does a great job of tackling real-world issues in his columns in a way that s both engaging and interesting.
On the daily section, judges lauded the simple and clean layout that allowed readers to quickly get to the point.
