Wanting to end the year on a high note, he sent a Hail Mary ask to his buddy Rob Krar. “Are you healthy right now?” the text read. “Any interest in doing the Grand Canyon alternate R2R2R with me sometime in the next couple of weeks?” Krar, based in Flagstaff, Arizona, responded quickly: “Oh gawd.” A back and forth commenced.
