Lu’ma Native Housing Society (LNHS) was provided with $6.4 million towards the cost of construction, and the provincial government offered another $4.4 million. The project was first proposed by a private developer in 2013 as a five-storey building with 25 units of market rental housing, and a downsized proposal of four storeys with 23 units of market rental housing was approved in 2015 by Vancouver City Council. Lu’ma Native Housing Society’s property at 3819 Boundary Road, Vancouver.
