Community space to help homeless opens in Thetford

The Annexe is officially opened at the Riversdale Centre in Thetford. The new facilities will be available to homeless people to wash, shower and eat. A new community building to provide basic washing and cooking facilities for the homeless and vulnerable has officially been opened in a town.
The official opening was attended by key figures from the town, including Thetford’s mayor Mark Robinson and Sarah Carter, chief executive at Keystone Development Trust - who own the building. ....

Tributes made to Thetford's Ron Green after Covid death

“So, we had a very devastating phone call from the doctor to say that he would be taken off all medication and dad would come to the end of his life naturally.
“But they would only allow one family member to be by the bedside for one hour in full PPE gear. I thought, we can’t have that. He can t die on his own. And somehow, we managed to get him home.
“It has been so emotional. But even from his death bed he made us laugh.
“He was desperately ill and very weak but we spent every moment with him and it was just wonderful. ....
