Emmanuel macron says a new page is being turned in the history of france after his decisive victory over Marine Le Pen in the president ial election. To the undoubted relief of other european leaders, the pro eu candidate won by 66 to 34 to become, at 39, the countrys youngest president. Its the first time in decades that the election has been won by someone whos not a member of the two traditional main left wing and right wing parties. Our correspondent Christian Fraser is in paris.
