Cities in Uttar Pradesh are set to be developed under the River Cities Alliance (RCA), a joint initiative of the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The development work will focus on the river banks of Gomti in Ayodhya, Ganga in Kanpur, and Ramganga in Moradabad, with Prayagraj also being included. The aim of the alliance is to clean the rivers, develop river banks, and improve the economic condition of the cities.
