Well. iowaens for the most part speak the truth except politicians. that s what i heard truth the summit. one thing is clear, they do not like john mccain making him a perfect opponent for donald trump. so you are finding that people are 50/50 in terms of the presidency part but it seems like they like this kind of blunt, not politically correct rhetoric to say the least from donald trump? exactly right. they are looking for the anti establishment non-washington d.c. candidate. i speak to two senior operatives in iowa this evening, one on the way here and one earlier this afternoon working for rival campaigns and each agreed donald trump s surge is for real and one thing that makes him a serious threat in the race is that he has a lot of money. he can t be bought by donors making donors nervous. one told me the caucus of people that like donald trump is the f.u. caucus they do not like folks being told what to do. ....
Under fairly intense scrutiny. some who are close to walker are saying, though a lot of the pressure might be coming from the bush camp. so we might be already reaching that phase of the campaign where you have the rival campaigns pushing opposition research at each other. the latest allegation being that walker flipped his position on several issues notably, ethanol as well as comprehensive immigration reform or the path to citizenship. it will be interesting to see whether walker comes under pressure. i ll say he s not going the traditional new hampshire itinerary in that he doesn t have any events where you ll see him interacting with regular voters. everything is closed off. doing private meetings with the media and some key leaders, and then he s going to give a speech at this grass roots training event. bush on the other hand will be in unpredict ableable areas. a house party, a new hampshire tradition mix and mingle with people who aren t already supporters. he hasn t been in ....
Between former florida governor jeb bush and wisconsin governor scott walker. according to the latest poll bush leads walker among republicans by a single digit. 19-18. that s a big improvement for walker, who was polling way down in the low single digits in december. as the washington post reports today, the knives are already out between the two rival campaigns. kas walker is a flip-flopper tweeting, did you know scott walker was for path to citizenship, now not. did you know he was against the ethanol subsidy. now he is for. do you really know him? and in an e-mail to the post another bush supporter, took up the same line of attack saying running for president requires have the mettle to keep your boots on not changing into flip-flops when it starts getting hot. i think the flip-flop label hasn t yet stuck to walker. unlike romney until now he s had a low profile nationally. we re here back with our round ....
Campaign which is sitting on more opposition research you can imagine about romney. they re teasing this out now i think to try to weaken him. if and when he becomes the nominee, they ll be sitting in chicago every day saying let s do this one now and this one next week. so much stuff they re sitting on. if you compound those two points, you re talking about mitt romney s had this much trouble winning the republican nomination against rival campaigns if it s in truth coming from chicago. chicago has been doing opposition research on romney for a year and a half. what is going to happen to mitt romney when he gets hit with not just like decent opposition research but the best opposition research that money can buy, having gone through this entire race stumbling without being faced with that kind of opposition research? i just think it s unfathomable. i ve got to make one other point. i think we have this fox poll. to barbara bush s point about what this race has done, there s a fox ....
they ve been on the ground for 48 hours and their initial statements are so far stunning. the chief monitor of the arab league observer force is a sudanese military commander mohammed mustafa al dabbi, he s the former head of intelligence in the government of omar basher. a man wanted for crimes against humanity. he told reuters that quote things were calm and there were no clashes in homs. he went on to say, the situation seems reassuring so far. he also said, some places looked a bit of a mess, but there was nothing frightening. nothing frightening. that s not of course what we ve been hearing from people in and around homs for months. and it s not what you will hear from a reporter who snuck into the city and just returned. the footage he took is very disturbing and we ll show you that tonight as well. there s other footage i want to show you, but it s hard to watch. this is video claiming to show the aftermath of an artillery strike in homs. the scene, destruction ....
