DC Kathua launches mobile apps 'Madadgar', 'Hoshiyar' under Digital India Initiative – India Education,Education News India,Education News

Another app namely ‘Hoshiyar’ enables a citizen to report any anti social element, event or any incident which requires to be flagged out, as a vigilant citizen by just submitting details through mobile phone. Those flagged issues will be forwarded to the district as well as police authorities if required, who can take cognizance of the matter and act accordingly. This app will allow the general public to be a “SATARK NAGRIK” and be a part in making the society safe and peaceful.
The Deputy Commissioner said the idea behind making these apps was to explore the digital platforms like mobile apps which have deep penetration in today’s age of information. He said the ‘Madadgar’ app will help the district administration to avail expert human resources of the district to meet out any contingency. He said an app like “Hoshiyar” is an effort to provide a platform to the alert and vigilant citizens, who can help the civil and police administration by ....

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao week begins in Kathua with 'Media-se- Mulakaat'; DC launches 'Awareness Jingle' on save girl campaign – India Education,Education News India,Education News

While interacting with the media persons, the Deputy Commissioner informed that Kathua district has 894 females against 1000 males, which depicts improvement in Child Sex Ratio as compared to the past years. He said the role of media is pivotal for successful implementation of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, as it requires widespread diffusion of information through print, electronic and social media platforms. He appreciated the media fraternity of Kathua for giving due coverage to the welfare schemes like BBBP aimed at to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls.
The Programme Officer said that the ICDS department, in coordination with different departments, is working to empower girls through education by ensuring their maximum enrolment child in the schools. She briefed the media about range of activities planned for the week long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao week which will culminate on International Women Day- 8t ....
