PENNSBORO A Ritchie County woman who did not resuscitate her dead baby after giving birth at home will appear before a grand jury in June.
Elizabeth Saxton, 31, 108 School Drive, Pennsboro, gave birth in the shower and claimed the baby was blue in the face and not breathing, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Ritchie County Magistrate Court.
Saxton reportedly did not try to revive the child or call 911; she wrapped the baby in a towel before placing it beside her bed, court records said.
The deceased child was found in her home following a search warrant and she is being charged with child neglect resulting in death and the concealment of a deceased human body.

SMITHVILLE Five people were arrested after attempting to steal an excavator from a worksite in Smithville and were also found with drugs.
John A. Estep, Joseph T. Cunningham, Jerry C. Jenkins II, Kristy Lynn Echard and a juvenile male were arrested after stealing the piece of equipment to try to retrieve a truck that was stuck in a creek with a flat tire, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Ritchie County Magistrate Court.
