Danielle nottingham reports for wjz from Reagan National airport. The faa said announcements like this are going to be a thing of the past. With electronics we asked that you power them off and stow them. The agency is lifting its ban on the use of Electronic Devices during take offs and landings. Airlines can safely expand passenger use of portable Electronic Devices during all phases of flight. Individual airlines will have to do some additional interference testing then it will be up to them to decide when our if Electronic Devices still need to be turned off.
