Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced that Lisa Sanaye Dring has been awarded a 2024 Tow Foundation Playwright Residency. Ma-Yi has also announced the 2024 Ma-Yi Writers Lab cohort, which is the largest collective of AANHPI playwrights in the country.
"I like doing things like this because you really go into the world kind of and try to embrace it understand it. And that s very interesting I think but it kind of haunts you. During the night, you wake up, and you think about it. And in this case, you know, it s kind of like a nightmare."
