AZTEC A new food truck plaza could be coming to downtown Farmington in the future, and the developers have asked the City of Farmington for help making this a reality. William and Kim DuTremaine are planning on opening a gym that will help with the physical rehabilitation of their clients at Cottonwood Clinical Services, Inc. As part of that proposal, the DuTremaines have proposed creating a food truck pavilion at 324 W. Main St. that would be known as Locke Street Eats. The gym would be located in the former Bank of the Southwest building at the corner of Main and Locke streets. This building has been vacant for two years after the bank relocated to the adjacent building. ....
BLM Northern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council to meet virtually FARMINGTON, N.M. – The Bureau of Land Management today announced it will hold its first meeting of the Northern New Mexico Resource Advisory Council (RAC). The public is welcome to attend the meeting that will occur on Jan. 19, 2021, virtually via Zoom video conferencing, from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. MST. Planned agenda items include: member training; elections of Chair and Vice Chair; an overview of the BLM Farmington, Taos, and Rio Puerco Field Office major actions; and the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act and updates from the U.S. Forest Service for the Cibola and Santa Fe National Forests. In addition, the USFS would like to seek recommendations for two site fee proposals for the Aldo Leopold House and Amole Canyon Group Shelter in the Carson National Forest. ....
