About gingrich seems to be laying out, which is like a kamikaze mission against mitt romney? well, you know, that may be exciting or interesting or entertaining to newt, but frankly if you re rick santorum who just delivered quite a performance in iowa, he s clearly on the upswing, although we don t know how high he can possibly go, rick has to believe that he should be the one trying to position themselves as the alternative to romney. and you have newt whose numbers have been going down nationally in iowa and new hampshire over the last few weeks who is talking about aligning himself with santorum. santorum frankly is going to take votes away from newt first. that s because he s positioning himself as a stronger conservative candidate. so you know, that s really not going to help anyone. it may satisfy for the former speaker but i don t think it s really a very wise tactic. ....
