STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Local doctors are joining the widespread public health efforts to create a safe, effective vaccine for the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Richmond Behavioral Associates, located in Eltingville, has begun conducting clinical research studies evaluating investigational vaccines to determine their effectiveness against COVID-19.
“We’re looking at an investigational vaccine that we think may provide some hope in preventing further spread of this disease,” says Dr. Mark DiBuono, MD., principal investigator and medical director of Richmond Behavioral Associates. “This trial is noteworthy because the vaccine being researched is based upon the same technology that has had prior success in the development of other safe and effective vaccines.” ....
