Bucks Council âsorryâ for sending wrong ballot papers to hundreds ahead of elections THE council has apologised for sending the wrong ballot papers to more than 350 Bucks residents ahead of the local elections – adding it would ensure anyone “who returns the wrong pack” will not lose their vote. Bucks Council said it is ‘sorry’ for sending out incorrect parish ballot papers to 356 people in Iver and Richings Park ahead of the elections on Thursday, May 6. The authority put the blunder down to a “printer error”. Network Rail has now confirmed that staff working on the scheme have been moved on to other projects, until Heathrow Airport Ltd (HAL) is able to commit to its share of the project’s funding. HAL is currently unable to commit any funding to the project due to its precarious financial position as a result of passenger decline due to Covid-19. In February HAL announced a £2bn loss for the financial year, with passenger numbers down 22M in 2020 compared to the year before. ....

DAMAGES done to some bollards and a tree by a lorry have prompted one group of residents to call on the highways authority for repairs – adding that they feel HGVs are a “major issue” in the area.
