East Bridgewater mother is a TikTok cake star Abby Burke quit her full-time finance job in November to pursue her passion for baking cakes. Now, her TikTok account CakeArtByAbby has 3.3 million likes and 350,000 followers. “I feel more accomplished now that I run my own cake business than I did working 9-5 in an office,” said Burke, 29, of East Bridgewater. Burke started baking a few months before the quarantine began as a hobby, which quickly became a business due to the rising popularity of the social media app TikTok. She created the account CakeArtByAbby in January 2020 and her first video received 169,000 views, and the most-watched video has 16.4 million views. ....

Lindsey and Richie McQuade, who live less than a mile from the market, have three young children. She has stage three Hodgkin s lymphoma and he has stage four bowel cancer. Prisco hopes to raise $2,500 for the McQuades by raffling off a Red Sox-themed, drivable child s car. Tickets to enter the raffle are $5 each. I feel called to help, he said.
