Nearly two years after an ax-wielding man was shot and killed by a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officer, attorneys for the family of that man, Kevin Mahan, have filed a federal lawsuit.
South Jacksonville will start looking for a new village clerk next week. It is also still waiting for another location for the proposed cell tower, whose first location was rejected by trustees in May.
John Green will be resigning from his position as public works superintendent after about 26 years working for South Jacksonville. He will be replaced by Brian English.
