higher rate of broek broken water main breaks. reporter: the water department says with bitter arctic cold coming this week it s the season. december through march we have the highest volume of breaks we have crews working 12-hour shifts, six days a week. as breaks come in we re able to respond as quickly as possible. reporter: he says the plan is to try to get those center southbound lanes open within the next 30 to 40 minutes to get a little traffic flow at rush hour. as far as those center northbound lanes, that is probably going to be closed as they continue the repairs to that water main. they believe it will be through 8:00 tonight before they can get the center northbound lanes open and hope to have everything cleaned up by the morning rush. doug shimell, nbc10. to the lehigh valley and other road problems. potholes are popping up. the city of allentown is asking people to report any problems to its pothole hot line. they have to give the exact locations of the
