He went to a school in sparks, maryland, run by quickerquaker elder and a military middle and high school run by an episcopalian priest. These are good schools. It was difficult for him. His sister said his older brothers were more intuitive but for john, he had to really force himself to learn things. It was not easy. I see all sorts of clues that he was a good auditory learner.
