He is visiting professor in Worktown Studies at the University of Bolton and author of several books on Lancashire history A fascinating aspect of Bolton’s role as a major centre of textile engineering was its strong links with pre-revolutionary Russia. MORE than £50,000 is being pumped into a popular Llandrindod Wells garage to improve its offering to motorists in the town, after ownership changed hands in October. ETB Autocentres has added the former Tremont Ford and Ithon Tyres depot on Tremont Road to its ever-growing network, preserving a seven-strong workforce in the process. Its investment is seen as a huge statement of intent as bosses aim to make the site a flagship store in terms of customer service and experience. ETB, with 36 depots across the England and Wales, saw huge potential in the Llandrindod store and invested the sum to create an even better automotive experience, including new signage, four-wheel alignment systems and other aftermarket equipment.
