Terese Rose Rader of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, a former Falmouth resident, died of natural causes in on February 7. She was 92.
Born in Marlborough, she graduated from St. Anneâs Academy and later attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the University of Rochester in New York, where she had a Phi Beta Kappa full scholarship. She received a bachelorâs degree in French with a minor in Spanish in 1970, a masterâs in linguistics in 1972, and a PhD in linguistics with a specialty in child language development in 1975.
In 1961, Ms. Rader went to Africa for two years as a US Aid director/administrator of a medical research group working to improve access to and delivery of health services in Sub-Saharan Africa. She traveled extensively through Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
