help us better cover round two of the storm and speaking of which, here s a live look at our doppler radar. notice the red beam of storm ranger tracking the lower level activity, especially at this minute in the south bay. good morning, and thanks for joining us. i m garvin thomas with anthony slaughter with a look at the forecast and what i understand about storm ranger and where we have it placed is with that radar gives us is a coverage at the lower elevations that all the other radars don t. yeah, and it s a dual polarized radar too so it scans out to the atmosphere and the radius, three dimensionally, vertically and down. so you get every angle covered in the atmosphere and i mean we get a science forecast. and that s how the radar scans, just goes straight out so you get the three dimensional dual polarized radar and it scans seven times faster than national weather service radar so yes, nbc has invested. it s not a toy. but it s super cool. we are happy to
