Dec 30, 2020 10:01 AM MusicNL has launched a strategic partnership with Songistry, allowing members access to the service’s MDIIO and MDIIO+ platforms. The partnership will help members register and copyright their music with the Canadian Performance Rights Association, and to offer a platform for rights holders and licensors to negotiate terms. Songistry’s platforms use artificial intelligence and machine learning to assist the discovery of music for licensing purposes. Executive Director of MusicNL, Rhonda Tulk-Lane says access to music licensing opportunities is always a challenge for creators. It’s all part of MusicNL’s efforts to create greater exposure for local musicians. She also cites MusicNL Week, scheduled to go ahead online in February. ....
