A spokesman for the MNA, the largest union of registered nurses in the state, said the hospital CEO’s allegations are all hogwash. Eight hundred St. Vincent nurses, who are represented by the MNA, are preparing to wage an open-ended strike against Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare at 6 a.m. Monday, after a two-year effort by the nurses to convince their employer to implement staffing increases to improve the patient care conditions at the Summer Street facility.
