NSWRD Completes Revetment Project at Sunrise Beach

Reply Sunrise Beach, Lake Bluff The North Shore Water Reclamation District (NSWRD) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the completion of the Lake Bluff Sunrise Beach revetment project. Due to the excellent work of John Keno & Co. the project was accomplished is a timely fashion with little or no disruption to neighboring residents or visitors. Tom Swarthout, Ward 4 Trustee (Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and North Chicago), worked closely with the Village, the Park District, and the contractor to ensure the success of this major undertaking that will protect Lake Bluff s valuable community asset for many years to come. We are quite pleased with the final outcome, stated Trustee Swarthout. It exceeds all expectations. In addition to protecting the District s Pumping Station, the work will also allow an increase in sand collection at Sunrise Beach. This is certain to enhance the beauty of this expanse of Lake Michigan shoreline which is a centerpiece of the Village of Lake Bluff.

The Beacon The Portage River Walk in Oak Harbor has been a community dream for more than two decades, and will finally become reality with a $500,000 grant announced in December.
