A village church has launched an appeal to save an historic wall which featured in a Wordsworth poem.
The churchyard wall at St Mary’s in Ennerdale is in a poor state, and the church council has now set up a crowdfunding page in a bid to stop parts of it collapsing altogether.
Tree roots have been identified as the main cause of damage to the wall and the repairs are estimated to cost about £60,000. ....
