everybody inside tonight. and a curfew for everybody, not just for juveniles. miguel, we ll continue to check in with you. joining me now is jamaal bryant, a coalition of african-american clergy. reverend, i appreciate being with you under the very difficult circumstances. what is your message tonight to those young people, to anybody who may be considering going out on the street or who may currently be out on the street? that anybody who is going out tonight does not reflect in any way the freddie gray legacy. we ask with absolute clarity there be no demonstrations today, no marches today, as it was the family s wish on the day of the funeral that we would resume tomorrow. those who are out do not reflect the movement that by and large has been nonviolent. this is regrettable and inexcusable and asking every young person to go home, asking every parent to make sure your child is accounted for, that we would become the city that has
the main thing the main thing. reverend bryant, i appreciate you talking to us tonight. i wish you the best. be careful. i want to go to joe johns. joe, explain where you are and what you re seeing. reporter: here we go. here we go. okay. yeah. you might want to go back. reporter: this is north and pulaski in baltimore. and you re looking at a liquor store being looted right now. people just sort of coming and going in, getting what they want and coming back out again. there has been a lot of action out here on the street. this car right over here to the right, was just burnt out a little while ago. we have a couple of guys from omega si phi fraternity out here. why are you out here? i m out here because i have a business across the street. i have a gym and we have some property out here in the parking lot. just trying to maintain some order, but this has been crazy all day. i was actually home watching cnn and once i saw it was close, i
pastor, with the black shirts on? these are 300 300 black men. and their task is to assist in any way, shape or fashion in dispersing the women and the children off the street. okay. so they re trying to bring calm out here. they re bringing calm. they re bringing calm along with the nation of islam. okay. so it s a group thing. okay. thank you very much, pastor. erin, back to you. all right, joe johns, thank you very much. i believe now, brian todd we have your shot back available. you ve been up in the middle of the riots. what are you seeing now? erin we re seeing a phalanx of riot police right here. this is on pennsylvania north avenue. right behind us is where the fire was at the cvs. it looks like that is still smoldering but a lot of that has been contained. they have three ladders here as they try to get more water into that facility.
