The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that in partnership with the Dan River Entrepreneur Ecosystem (DREEE), it will build on the success of the River District Association’s (RDA) Dream Launch Entrepreneur Bootcamp and Pitch Competition to offer Rev Up Danville Pittsylvania. This initiative, offered to entrepreneurs looking to establish or expand businesses in the City of Danville (outside of the River District) or in Pittsylvania County, will include an eight-week virtual boot camp, followed by an optional pitch competition in April.
Since Dream Launch started in 2019 over 150 individuals have participated in some or all of the bootcamp classes and nine businesses were awarded a total of $140,000 in grant funding to start or expand a business in the River District. ....
