Access Bank Lanuches Accelerator Program, to Empower Local Startups

The Africa FinTech Foundry (AFF), an initiative of Access Bank Plc has commenced its accelerator program.
The initiative is set to empower emerging startups, with mentorship programs, advisory and has committed N10 million in cash to the top three finalists.
The accelerator program which opened its entries last month, received 306 registrations and after rigorous assessments was later shortlisted to 30 participants.
Theses finalists were further screened by the Head of the Africa Fintech Foundry, Mr. Daniel Awe; Group Head, Emerging Businesses, Access Bank, Mrs. Ayodele Olojede; and Vice President, Investments MBO Capital and Fintech Consultant, Mr. Oshone Ikazobor, in a bid to narrow it down to 10 -15 finalist. ....

Access Bank launches emerging startup incubator project to boost Nigeria's economy

One of the top financial institutions in Nigeria, Access Bank Plc, has commenced the process of developing those that will improve the economy of the country.
The lender, through an initiative called the Africa Fintech Foundry (AFF), is assembling some emerging start-ups it believes would become a unicorn worth over $100 million in the next 10 years.
The accelerator programme will provide N10 million in cash to the top three finalists, while the others would be exposed to investors who might be interested in them.
Recalled that last month, entries were opened and 306 registrations were received. After rigorous assessments, the list was pruned to 30. ....

Student Wins Car in Access Bank Promo

An 18-year-old student has emerged winner of a brand new salon car in the Access Bank’s ‘Transact and Win,’ promo.
Ms. Adetayo Esther Olamide who is a student at Gateway polytechnic Saapade, Ogun state collected her car prize over the weekend at Access Bank’s office in Lagos, having performed more than 10 transactions through the bank’s digital platforms in the second quarter of 2020
Speaking on the sidelines she said: “My account officer called in October, last year, to alert me that I had won a car and honestly, I thought she was joking and when she said I won a car I didn’t believe and I asked that they call my mum. ....
