研究显示植物也会"日出而作" | 生物钟 | 转录因子基因

科学家知道植物在黎明时刻出现一个基因活动的高峰。研究人员把参与这个高峰活动的基因集合叫做黎明爆发组（dawn burst）。其中很多是控制下游基因表达的蛋白质转录因子的编码基因，并扮演与感光、应激和生长激素分泌相关的角色。但是，科学家还不知道这个基因高峰活动的细节以及如何控制它们。
为了更好地了解这一过程，英国剑桥大学和约克大学（University of York）的研究人员合作，采摘塔勒水芹（thale cress）的样品进行分析。塔勒水芹又称拟南芥，是科学家研究植物基因常用的模型。研究人员从黎明时刻起，每隔两分钟采摘一次样品，分析里面基因的活动。
