新研究：蟹状星云比之前认为的更亮、更具活力

据外媒报道，
在过去的千年时间里，这场精彩的光秀一直是由蟹状脉冲星爆炸留下的脉冲中子星推动。蟹状脉冲星是已知最明亮的高能X射线和伽马射线源之一。
来自中国大型高海拔空气簇射观测站(LHAASO)的新测量表明，该星云能够发出更亮的光。该观测站在喜马拉雅山麓发现一个光子的能量从星云测量那里测量到一千万亿电子伏特，如此之高的水平表明在蟹状星云的中心附近存在一个天然的粒子加速器，它的大小约是我们整个太阳系的十分之一。这样一个系统将能使电子的能量达到在地球上像欧洲核子研究中心那样的加速器所能达到的2万倍。
