Knox County residents will get a chance to see and hear candidates for county office at a candidate's forum from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, on the second floor of the Galesburg Public Library, 40 E Simmons St. The Galesburg NAACP is organizing the forum, which will include candidates for sheriff, clerk, treasurer in Knox County, along with candidates for 9th Judicial Circuit Judge. The candidates will be asked a series of questions and will be given a chance to give an opening statement about their candidacy for office. Brittany Grimes, president of the Galesburg NAACP, is coordinating the forum in collaboration with United Against Hate, PFLAG, Galesburg Public Library, The Register-Mail and WGIL, who will broadcast the event live.
