One of the nation's bluest states, New York has become an unexpected opportunity for Republicans due to voter dissatisfaction and a more favorable political.
All of South Jersey's representatives in the U.S. House appeared to have won re-election. Democrat Donald Norcross defeated Republican Claire Gustafson in the 1st District and Republican Jeff Van Drew topped Tim Alexander in the 2nd District. In the 3rd District, Andy Kim is projected to win by the Associated Press, but challenger Bob Healey has declined to concede because a portion of the vote count from Mercer County was delayed by voting machine issues.
